Time to celebrate heritage! Give this a try – our all English twist on the classic Negroni to celebrate St George’s Day here in England.
St George Negroni Recipe
The classic Negroni combines Gin, Campari and sweet vermouth in equal proportions, and all we’re doing is a nice light English twist on that drink.
- 1oz (30ml) Your choice of London Dry Gin
- 1oz (30ml) Kamm & Sons British Aperitif
- 1oz (30ml) Bramley & Gage Sweet Vermouth
Master of Malt calls Bramley & Gage’s Sweet Vermouth “A pleasingly herbal, aromatic vermouth that pays takes its cues from both hearty Italian classics as well as the character of the English countryside.” Featuring locally grown rosemary and thyme, it gives an interesting new edge flavour wise to the drink.
Kamm & Sons is quickly becoming a favourite of mine. I’ve been a fan of the bitter end of the spirits spectrum for a little while now, but this is a little bit special (and British, which fits the theme nicely too!).
So treat yourself this St George’s day, and mix up our twist on the classic Negroni! You know you want to.
