This Tiki classic bucks the trend by not being too sweet or brightly coloured, but rather a great and balanced drink that is perfect for summer days by the pool.
Legend has it that the drink was created at Trader Vic’s in Oakland California in 1944. “Maita’i” translates from the Tahitian as ‘Good’, and the drink certainly lives up to its name!
- ¾oz Lime Juice
- ¼oz Simple Syrup
- ¼oz Orgeat Syrup
- ½oz Orange Curacao (or Triple Sec)
- 2oz Gold Rum
