The English Garden Cocktail is a summery drink which twists cran-apple juice combination that works so well by adding dry Gin and elderflower flavours.

Introduced to me at TGI Friday’s alongside the Russian Spring Punch, Bramble and the El Diablo, the English Garden was always the easy drinking choice of the bunch, feeling very grown up with its elderflower notes.

English Garden Cocktail Ingredients

  • 1¼oz (37.5ml) Dry Gin
  • 2oz (60ml) Cranberry Juice
  • 2oz (60ml) Apple Juice
  • ¾oz (22.5ml) Elderflower Cordial

How to mix an English Garden Cocktail

Build all ingredients together in a Collins glass filled with cubed ice. Garnish with two squeezed lime wedges in the top of the glass.

Variations on the English Garden Cocktail

As cucumber has become more popular in cocktails in recent years, I have noticed many versions of the English Garden being mixed with pressed apple juice and no cranberry juice and made with Hendricks Gin so the garnish becomes cucumber slices. This does fit the title much better as Cranberry is not a particularly English flavour!
