I was asked to help the guys at Trilogy Beverages judge the Gold of Mauritius cocktail competition over the past few weeks, with the top drinks being presented at RumFest in London.

Kazim created the Banana Blues for the competition. His drink was presented at the Manchester heat of the Gold of Mauritius national cocktail competition in Cane & Grain.

Banana Blues Recipe

  • 25ml Fresh banana puree
  • 50ml Gold of Mauritius
  • 18.3ml Creme de Cassis
  • 12.5ml Liquor 43
  • 25ml Lime Juice

The Banana Blues is shaken with ice and double strained on the rocks in an Old Fashioned glass, garnished with two speared banana cylinders.
