As mentioned on last week’s podcast, I was privileged to showcase ODK Purées and Mixers at the Library of Birmingham recently. The Kiwi Daiquiri was one of the three serves we offered on the day, and it went down great!
ODK Purées are perfect for making drinks at events because their long shelf life means you never waste anything, even if your events are weeks apart. They also work great in high volume bars as there’s no messy decanting, they’re already in a squeeze bottle, just flip the cap and serve.
Kiwi Daiquiri Cocktail Recipe
- 1oz (30ml) Bacardi Cuatro Rum
- 1oz (30ml) ODK Lime Juice
- ½oz (15ml) ODK Kiwi Purée
- ½oz (15ml) ODK Brown Sugar Syrup
Shake all ingredients with cubed ice and strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass. Garnish with a Kiwi wheel.
Kiwi is a fun and complex flavour to work with and one not many of your guests might expect to find in the bar. That’s one of the reasons that ODK works great, because do don’t have to spend time prepping the purée only to throw half away if you find a drink is a slower mover. And of course, if your guests love it, you’ll never be waiting for more to be prepped, just pop the cap on a new one and keep serving those drinks!
